The ski trip from the previous post was graced with a large amount of fresh snow. As we took the first lift Saturday morning the ski patrol was busy setting off controlled explosions to spur avalanches clearing steep, rugged, and slide prone terrain for skiing. Despite being a rare opportunity for me to have the ability to take advantage of, I thought better of attempting to ski the risky slopes. The parody on this slide summed up why I chose not to go through with it. I figured my attempt to beat the odds was more likely to end badly than the locals I watched with well practiced skills and recent experience in the situation.
